Unibind Systems has been a strong and competitive growing business ever since it started 21 years ago, with over 20,000 customers who buy from us each year. However, we also have to acknowledge the role of others in our success. We thought that our readers may like to know a little bit about one of the companies we deal with, especially as we have an exciting announcement to make regarding the business relationship!  The Company we refer to is The Printed Word, which has been running since 1990 and  provides a very strong and professional service to their customers. We at Unibind are very proud to have had a very close business relationship with TPW over the past few years.

Ever since we introduced bespoke products, Unibind and TPW have been working very closely together. Unibind would handle the binding side of things and all the printed sheets were produced by TPW’s Rob Pryer and his fantastic team.

More recently, Rob’s confidence in all things Unibind led to him being the first printer in the world to install a CaseMaker 750A at his Horsham premises, allowing him to do all of our fulfilment work including offset books, yearbooks, meeting books and diaries.

And now to the exciting announcement! The close relationship between our two companies has now become a strong marriage. Unibind has made the recent acquisition of a minority yet significant shareholding in TPW after the retirement of our good friend John Pryer.

Looking towards the future, this means that our two businesses can benefit from the strengths of each other and pass on those benefits to customers. TPW will benefit from our large customer base, particularly as much of that base will be interested in their speciality field, Transactional Print. This, in turn, will be ideal for our corporate customers in the financial and insurance markets, while we will benefit by expanding our product portfolio to include print and fulfilment. A marriage made in Heaven! Now If only we had champagne and a Wedding Cake...
